A resort that arrives quietly

Generated photography and a proposed scope. This study is not evidence of completed Studio Apex work; the outcomes below are design objectives, not measured results.

THE BRIEF

A clear ambition.

Design a resort arrival that feels unhurried and generous, linking reception, lounge and spa approaches through one material language.

The challenge.

Bring indoor and outdoor experience together without compromising durability against salt air, sand, moisture and constant guest turnover.

A coordinated response.

Set a monolithic stone reception against timber-lined walls, then carry the same palette through the lounge and spa approach with planting and layered drapery. Slip resistance, sealing and cleanability are reviewed with the operator before procurement.

A CONSIDERED PALETTE

Materials & finishes.

Honed limestone

Reception counter and feature walls; sealing and maintenance to be confirmed.

Slatted timber lining

Reception walls and ceiling interfaces; fire and durability requirements reviewed.

Layered drapery

Lounge openings; track and stacking coordinated with glazing.

Contract lounge furniture

Resort seating; UV, durability and cleaning reviewed with the operator.
