The considered arrival

Generated photography and a proposed scope. This study is not evidence of completed Studio Apex work; the outcomes below are design objectives, not measured results.

THE BRIEF

A clear ambition.

Create a distinctive arrival experience while coordinating reception joinery, durable finishes, lighting and furniture around the operational needs of a hotel.

The challenge.

Balance a welcoming atmosphere with the demands of high foot traffic, daily cleaning, clear circulation and consistent material detailing.

A coordinated response.

Coordinate the reception counter and wall joinery with a restrained stone palette. Select seating and lighting as part of the same spatial language, with samples and technical documentation reviewed before procurement.

A CONSIDERED PALETTE

Materials & finishes.

Honed natural stone

Reception counter and feature surfaces; final stone and sealing to be confirmed.

Timber veneer joinery

Reception storage and wall panelling, with coordinated grain direction.

Porcelain flooring

Large-format flooring; slip resistance and maintenance reviewed for the application.

Contract upholstery

Lounge seating; durability and cleaning requirements reviewed with the operator.
